There are two possible causes for Bluetooth dongle malfunctioning. First, if the PC does not automatically recognize the dongle when removing the dongle from the PC and placing it back, the solution is to simply right click on the sun icon in the BlueSoleil software and choose "Turn off Bluetooth". After that, right click on the sun icon again and select "Turn on Bluetooth". After these steps, the Bluetooth dongle should start blinking (you can also see our tutorial video). If that is not the case, try reinstalling the BlueSoleil and repeat these steps.
If this does not help, it means that the dongle is really malfunctioning, and there are two options that we can offer you:
- We can send you the activation code for the BlueSoleil software (this is a faster option, but without the dongle, the Bluetooth range can be a bit compromised). In this case, you can use any Bluetooth dongle that is compatible with the BlueSoleil drive and that supports Bluetooth 2.1.
- We can send you the replacement dongle, but for this you will need to wait for a few days to arrive. The charges may apply.
We provide our customers with the BlueSoleil as the default option, since it generally increases the range and provides a more stable Bluetooth connection. Some PCs already have really good Bluetooth stack installed and the data transmission can also work well with the built in Bluetooth. However, prior running the experiment, please check if you are facing data losses and if you are generally satisfied with the Bluetooth range and the stability of the Bluetooth connection.
